Diner’s Agenda: Hit The Road

Diner’s Agenda wishes it wasn’t so rainy.

Friday, August 10
•The Tanglewood Wine & Food Classic may not be sanctified by Food & Wine Magazine like its Aspen sibling, but it’s still a good time for a good cause. Tickets are still available for a variety of this weekend’s events, including tonight’s hoedown/pig roast. [Boston Symphony Orchestra]
•The North End feasts continue onward! This week, the feast honors La Madonna Della Cava, a Sicilian apparition of Mary. As always, there will be excellent activities like concerts, raffles, and enough food to sate even the very largest of appetites. Things get underway at Hanover & Battery tonight at 7:00 and go until Sunday at 11pm. [La Madonna Della Cava]

Sunday, August 12
•It’s no secret that some of the best food in the Boston area is housed within Coolidge Corner (hellooo, Rami’s!). Learn all about the area’s rich culinary history on Ahla Tour, which bills itself as a walking tour of Brookline’s Jewish cuisine. The tour leaves from the corner of Commonwealth & Harvard Ave at 10am and tickets, which may be purchased online, cost $38. [Ahla Tour]
•It’s the 95th anniversary of the Fairmont Copley Plaza and they’re celebrating with one of the weekend’s best deals. Mosey on down for brunch between 10:30am-1pm and chow down on three courses for a mere $19.12. Not too shabby for a Sunday morning! [Boston Magazine]
