Turn back the clock a few years, and there we were sitting front and center in high school Latin class. Though we may have forgotten a good amount of this not so conversational, Roman empire-era language, we know enough to remember that Vox Populi translates to "voice of the people." So why give that name to the popular Boylston street bar and restaurant?

Though it's easy to forget Vox Populi in the long line of Boylston bars filled with frat boys in baseball caps, we really think Vox is of a different breed. The clientele is a bit older, and a bit more professional. Besides featuring lunch, dinner, and brunch, a lot of the action goes down at Vox after dark. There's a reason the Improper voted Vox the "Best Place to Find a Relationship of Limited Duration" in 2006. With all those the martinis glasses being whipped around, it's only a matter of time before things get a little fuzzy. Speaking of those martinis, Vox is famous for its cocktail infusions. From our pick of the traditional dirty martini (three olives, please) to more fashionable beverages, you can be sure the bartenders, repeatedly voted "Best of Boston," will take good care of you. At least that's what the voice of the people says, and you know the public never lies.
