Tangled Up In Blue

Azure is meant to be an ocean-inspired restaurant that embraces the simplicity and beauty of a cool, blue hue. Visually stunning, the contrasting blue decor provides a beautiful aesthetic. However, we were rather surprised to see that only a couple other tables were filled in the restaurant. Where have all the brunchers gone? To church? Anyhow, they missed the delicious Mimosas and Bloody Marys we sipped on to begin our meal.
Azure's menu is equally as clear and understated as its decor. A few members of our party ordered the traditional Eggs Benedict, a tower of Canadian bacon, drippy cheese, and hollandaise sauce topped off with asparagus. It was definitely a hit with our friends, but we couldn't resist ordering our typical brunch favorite, smoked salmon and cream cheese on a bagel topped with capers and onions. Unlike some other restaurants (and not particularly cheap ones), Azure definitely gives a sufficient amount of salmon. Another interesting breakfast offering was the Maine lobster omelet with caramelized leeks. Though we have a certain phobia of eating crustaceans, we thought this was an interesting offering that would please a lobster lover.
No matter where you worship, be sure to come together with friends and family for a weekend brunch. It's a great time to rehash stories and laugh together. At least you won't be feeling blue after the meal.
