Fenway: With the recent fire that tore through some of the Fenway's best restaurants, it's great to see something new coming to the area. The House of Blues is promised to be anything but a downer. [ Craigslist]
North End: It's not the typical North End type of place, but the Equal Exchange Cafe looks as if it will be a great spot for getting your daily caffeine fix while supporting fair trade. More towards the TD Banknorth Garden side, this Causeway Street location will be a great addition to an area dominated by college bars and Dunkin Donuts. [Boston on the Go]
Closings
Allston: And yet another Alllston spot closes down. Reef Cafe was a well-loved, family run business that many people are disappointed to see go. [Chowhound]
Allston: Eats and Treats, home to smoothies, crepes, and other goodies, seems to have closed in December. Except nobody really noticed until now. [Chowhound]
