Saveur Loves Sportello
Sportello made Saveur's list of "12 Restaurants That Matter." Saveur's piece on Sportello and Barbara Lynch, written by Boston Magazine food critic Corby Kummer, mostly dotes on the expected items: Lynch's perfect gnocchi, the braised rabbit strozzapreti, the tiramisu. Also included, however, is a killer piece of trivia: Sportello is inspired by Lynch's high-school era stint as a line cook at Brigham's. It doesn't get any more awesomely Bostonian than that.
