Kotobukiya's Market to Rise Again in Medford
Japanese grocery store Kotobukiya, whose Cambridge location recently closed to make room for an expansion of Lesley's bookstore, will reopen in Medford Square, reports a Chowhound poster. The Medford market will open at 65 Riverside Ave. with a new (and unreported) name. Expect goods similar to the former location -- Japanese, Korean, and Chinese groceries; fresh fish; and Asian magazines. Japanese expats used to hang out at the Cambridge store, so now they have a new place to go. So do Japanese snack connoisseurs: Kotobukiya has long had the largest selection in town.
