Restaurants Love Twitter

Boston restaurants are using Twitter for everything from soliciting customers’ opinions on menu items to building a loyal customer base before opening, reports the Globe. Tupelo’s Jen Deadrick claims that at least half of the restaurant’s opening night full house was due to the social networking service and Boloco’s John Pepper recalls using Twitter as a focus group, a move that he estimates saved the restaurant thousands of dollars. The microblogging platform is fast becoming one of the best ways to stay on top of the city’s restaurant news, so do check out our comprehensive lists of Boston’s best food Twitters.
