The “Boston” episode of new Food Network show Chefs vs. City won’t actually feature Boston foodies, per se. A source at the Food Network tells us that Aarón Sanchez and Chris Cosentino’s challengers in their culinary race through Boston will be Peter and Robert Depesa, chefs and co-owners of Focaccia. That’s Focaccia in Wilmington, as in almost-out-in-Lowell-Wilmington. Despite this setback for Bostonains proper, it looks like the show will be hitting up at least one location in our actual city. The episode description promises the pairs will compete while “devouring a famous chocolate buffet.” That could only be the chocolate bar at Cafe Fleuri. The teams will also visit a clambake and create a giant Boston cream pie. Chefs vs. City premieres on August 7th and the Boston episode will air on August 21.
