Our sneaker-buying plans were foiled yesterday when we stopped by Le Foot Sportif in Harvard Square only to find it closed with a sign advertising an expansion of Herrell’s. Grub Street will always take ice cream over sneakers, so we called for the scoop. Manager Devin Lannen told us that, though it’s too early to give any details, Herrell’s is “looking to expand into a restaurant/ice cream shop”, which should open by the end of 2009 and that “one way or another, there’s going to be major changes.” Developing!
