What to Eat (and Drink) at Lord Hobo, Opening Soon in Inman

Following months (and we do mean months) of anticipation, Inman Square’s Lord Hobo is readying to open in the old B-Side Lounge space. The menu has been released and it looks like a doozy: curry chips, gnocchi with oxtail, squash, and Parma cream, and what is, hilariously, referred to as a “tasting of deviled eggs” (quoth a Chowhound poster, “That’s a description of a belch, not something you put on a menu”). The cocktail menu is, helpfully, written in the form of recipes (“Hot For Teacher: 1oz white rum, 1oz st germain, 2-3 limes, 4-5 mint leaves, shake, top with prosecco”) and, as befits a bar from Daniel Lanigan, the man behind Western Mass beer meccas The Moan and Dove and The Dirty Truth, the opening draught list is over 30 beers strong.

* Loo Loo 1 1/2oz citrus vodka, 1/2oz orange liquer, splash grapefruit, shake, top with proseco. Long grapefruit twist
* Soylent Green 2oz green Chartreuse. Muddle 2 lemons, 9 mint leaves, 2 cucumber slices, 1/2oz simple. And chartreuse, shake, pour over crushed ice
* Interloper 2oz Plymouth Gin, 1/2 oz barenjaeger, fresh lemon juice. Stir. Rinse martini glass w/ lagavulin. Flamed orange twist.
* Flores 1oz Cynar,1oz Aperol, 1oz Plymouth gin, orange bitters. Served rocks, orange twist
* Italiano Aperol, Punt e Mes, soda + proseco, severd in a highball
* Cachaca Lemonade 2oz Leblon cachaca, 1 oz Pimms, muddle lemons, cucumbers,1/2 oz simple. Add booze, shake, highball topped w/ soda
* Chipoltle Chocolate Martini 2oz Chipotle infused vodka, 1 oz chocolate liquer
* Lolita 2oz Cruzan black cherry rum, 1/2oz cola syrup, top w/ proseco
