Despite all of the hassles involved with the Super 88 sale/bankruptcy/awkward promises made to multiple buyers, Hong Kong Supermarket still very much wants to buy the local chain. The New York-based supermarket group is currently operating the three Super 88 stores that are left — two of which were promised to other buyers. So now some state court judges are in the unenviable position of trying to sort this and figure out who gets what. But Hong Kong Supermarket seems ready for a fight.
