Allston Russian convenience shop Bazaar has been granted a rather unusual liquor license, reports Universal Hub. The shop will soon begin to sell liquor, but only specialty booze from Eastern Europe. The liquor license is intended as a service to Allston’s elderly Russian immigrant population, we suspect it will also make Bazaar an appealing destination for Boston’s cocktail snob set: Georgian cognac, after all, isn’t something you can find just anywhere.

Soon, You’ll Be Able to Buy Slivovitz and Exotic Vodka on Cambridge Street in Allston [Universal Hub]
