Cafe Rialto is now open in the former Square Corner Cafe space in Roslindale Square, reports Thrillist. The focus here is on upscale casual Italian fare: calzone stuffed with salami, prosciutto, mortadella, and mozzarella, hand-stretched goat cheese pizza, and gluten-free pasta. It’s a far cry from the old Square Corner and from neighbor Robyn’s, both of which were more bar-food focused, and much closer, cuisine-wise, to the restaurants of Birch Street. For the neighborhood’s drinkers, Cafe Rialto is tricked out with a handmade poplar bar and a jukebox. Now if only they (or anywhere else in Rozzy Square) would add delivery.
