Santos and Duarte Victorious at Poe’s Burrito Bowl

We all know how the Super Bowl ended. The outcome of Brian Poe’s Burrito Bowl at the Rattlesnake, however, didn’t have the benefit of being broadcast to millions. On the plus side, Fergie wasn’t there to frighten everyone. So, how did it shake out?

We’re happy to note that Gargoyles’ man-about-town, Jason Santos, won “fan favorite” for his red, white, and blue Patriots burrito, which was served in a Fritos bag. (Perhaps he should consider entering Frito-Lay’s pie contest?) Best burrito overall went to Jose Duarte of the North End’s Taranta, who whipped up a suckling pig burrito that was inspired by the Miami Dolphins. We’re considering concocting a burrito inspired by last night’s Super Bowl: Perhaps a Black-Eyed Peas burrito slathered with … well, cheese.
