Good news for seafood fans: Cape Ann Fresh Catch tells us their weekly fish deliveries will begin this week for the Spring season, and there’s still time to get in on the fresh catch. This Community Supported Fishery (CSF) program has mostly delivered cod in seasons past, according to Steve Tousignant, the group’s outreach director. But he tells Grub Street that the Gloucester-based collective has partnered with non-codders to provide a bit more diversity this year. Expect yellowtail flounder, hake, pollock, haddock, and grey sole in addition to the cod. We’ve got all the info you need, straight ahead.

If a weekly fish pick-up is a bit daunting (squeezed for space in your freezer?), consider the bi-weekly ones. Tousignant says there are currently 738 members who are taking advantage of the sustainably caught, local fish either weekly or bi-weekly. Joining this CSF is a great way to support local day boat fishermen and as the group’s slogan says, “Anything fresher, you’ve caught it yourself.”

Drop off sites can be found here, on the group’s website, and are located through the Boston area. The group will pro-rate your share for the rest of the season, which goes through the very end of May.
