Mija Will Open on Saturday, With A Mere 100 Tequilas

By

According to UrbanDaddy, yet another Mexican place is set to debut, hopefully on Saturday if all goes according to plan. More ahead.

This one's called Mija Cantina & Tequila Bar, the restaurant we told you about awhile back that wants to attract a more, ahem, mature clientele to its Faneuil Hall location. (That's a tough task for a spot where fake IDs are as ubiquitous as hook-ups gone awry.) Moreover, we're surprised that they have a mere 100 tequilas on offer, compared with Mexi-petitors Papagayo (which has its own tequila-tasting table) and Temazcal Tequila Cantina (300-plus!).

We have to give Mija some credit, though: It used to be a cheese-barn Cheers. Now, it boasts "wood that once held the snow off the highways of Wyoming" and a "70-plus-seat patio," so hopefully it's all uphill from here!
