What to Eat at Nubar, The Sheraton Commander’s New Bar (And Restaurant)

Harvard Square’s landmark Sheraton Commander Hotel is getting an aptly named, swanky new hangout in the next couple of weeks: Nubar. The lounge-restaurant will be steered by Chef Bill Flumerfelt, formerly of Dorchester’s Ashmont Grill and the South End’s much-loved and missed Icarus. The old hotel, anchoring Garden Street for decades, is due for a dining destination. This one looks eager to please, with service stretching from breakfast until dinner seven days a week and a menu that hits all the right comfort-food notes. The bar promises local and regional craft beers, house-made infusions, and a roster of classic and modern cocktails. The spot is named after Edward Nubar Guleserian, who’s owned the hotel for decades. Have a peek at the dinner menu below.
