Who Says Old-School Boston Dining Is Dead?

Not Emeril Lagasse! Shake-ups at Locke-Ober and the Oak Room aside, Emeril will still manage to enjoy some old-timey Boston dining experiences on his new Cooking Channel show, The Originals with Emeril, next week. The Herald’s Fork Lift blog reports that he’ll visit the Omni Parker House (which gave us Boston Cream Pie and Parker House Rolls) and the Union Oyster House for his Boston episode. The show aims to showcase “iconic food establishments that have helped shaped the country’s culinary landscape.” In other words, you’re not going to see Emeril stumbling out of any Southie bars.
