Truckin'

Greenway Food Trucks vs. Restaurants vs. Edible Plants: Which Would You Rather?

Today the Globe talks about how the Greenway, once a sad cement wasteland, is now filled with actual people frolicking and enjoying themselves. Part of that improvement? Restaurants and food trucks! Tons of ‘em.

As we noted a few days ago, the number of food trucks on the Greenway has doubled from last year. But that’s not all!

Plenty of big-name chefs are staking claims there, too. Most notably, Jason Santos (whose forthcoming Blue definitely merits some kind of award for most pre-opening buzz) and Jody Adams, who plans to open Mediterranean-inspired restaurant Trade in the coming months. While plenty of chefs are decamping to Cambridge (Kendall, especially) to open their restaurants, maybe the Greenway is the next destination?

If you were hungry and found yourself strolling the Greenway, would you hit up a food truck or commit to a brick-and-mortar restaurant? (Or would you instead resort to nibbling one of the area’s many delicious edible plants?)
