Capital Grille Leaves Newbury; Opens for Lunch

Today the Capital Grille, once a Newbury Street landmark, moves adjacent to the Hynes Convention Center, leaving more room on Newbury for fro-yo shops. As we mentioned yesterday, Mayor Menino held court at a ribbon-cutting ceremony to welcome the Grille to its new digs last night. Also, for the first time, the restaurant will serve lunch … so it’s time to figure out how to convince your boss to book a few highly necessary three-martini midday meals “team-building” exercises.

It’s a big few weeks for chi-chi steakhouses here in town: Next month, Smith & Wollensky will open its second Boston location, avec patio, at Atlantic Wharf (near Jody Adams’s soon-to-come Trade). For now, have a look at CG’s lunch offerings.
