Two things to put on your fall Sunday radar: Avila now has a $14 prix-fixe brunch, and the Bedford Village Inn (now home to Sel de la Terre/Hell’s Kitchen alum Benjamin Knack) now offers a $35 three-course evening roast.
Avila’s brunch debuts on Sunday. Choose from an appetizer (we’ll go with the smoked salmon and onion bagel with breath mints, please) and an entree (egg pizza with bacon, pancakes with amaretto-sauteed bananas, or mac ‘n cheese). Service is from 11:30 until 3.
Meanwhile, over the New Hampshire border at the cozy BVI, Knack whips up a different themed roast every Sunday beginning at 5; red wine pairings are also available. The three-course dinners are $35—maybe a good excuse to head north and go leaf-peeping?
At the very least, it’ll hold us over ‘til Mad Men starts up again.
