The Globe Might Get Its Own Greenhouse

Who said the newspaper industry is dying? A greenhouse aimed at providing 954 pounds of greens to journos might be built on the Globe’s concrete roof overlooking scenic Morrissey Boulevard. LightEffect Farms would run the greenhouse, and the project could be up and running in six months or so. The 4,200-square foot greenhouse would provide ingredients for about 545 salads a day for hungry ‘n healthy Globe staffers. Note: The cafeteria also has a very respectable pizza bar.
