South End: The former Pho Republique and Bombay Club space on Washington Street will finally get a new tenant called Boma Restaurant & Bar, which will “feature American regional cuisine with a changing menu based on the market and seasons.” Novel! [Globe]

Chinatown: Raucous dim sum emporium China Pearl will get a new downstairs neighbor called Shojo, from the same team. Expect all the usual faves plus elegant additions like “kimchi butter and champagne-poached lobster.” They hope to open by July 1. [Chowder]

Beacon Hill: Poe’s Tip Tap Room, your one-stop-shop for elk and emu from Rattlesnake chef Brian Poe, will open by mid-June. [Earlier]

Mystery Location: A branch of Pittsfield-based Hot Harry’s will open someplace in Boston; they serve “hot” items like bacon cheeseburger burritos. [BBR via EB]
