Just as Hukilau closed for good in recent weeks, we get news of three Hawaiian-themed developments arriving in town — not to mention Ravi Kapur’s ongoing, Hawaiian-inspired LihoLiho Yacht Club pop-up at Citizen’s Band. First, two weeks back, we had news of Pa’ina opening in Japantown, next to the Sundance Kabuki theater. Now Eater tells us about Ono Grindz, which just opened at 832 Clement Street, and Tablehopper brings word of Slider Shack, a Hawaiian-inspired slider truck serving, among other things, Kalua pork sliders. You can find them at Spear and Mission today at lunch, or at 1st and Howard tomorrow and Friday. That’s a whole lot of aloha! [Eater, Tablehopper]
