Chef Anthony Caturano Speaks Out About Prezza Blaze

Through a rep, Caturano has released a statement about the fire that overtook the North End’s Prezza this weekend: “During the early morning hours on Sunday, we very unfortunately suffered a kitchen fire that caused substantial damage to our building. On behalf of the Prezza team, I want to sincerely thank the Boston Fire Department alongside the City of Boston for their unparalleled dedication and valiant efforts in ensuring the safety of our neighbors and minimizing any potential further damages to our restaurant. We are forever grateful for the services they provide. We hope to reopen our doors by Labor Day and also want to thank our family, friends and neighbors for their overwhelming support.”

According to the Globe, the early-morning fire caused an estimated $350,000 in damages. Fortunately, nobody was hurt.
