Last month, hot on the heels of reopening his flagship restaurant, Olives, Todd English told Grub Street that he didn’t have any major ventures in the works. Now, clearly, the tide has turned: He’s an oyster farmer! English tweeted today that he bought an oyster farm. “Get ready for the Todd English Blue Point!” he threatens declares. According to the farm’s website, “When spotted on menus, the Todd English Blue Point conjures images of sparkling ocean waves, salty air, and picturesque New England shores.” Swoon!

English’s oyster sanctuary is located on the serene Connecticut shoreline; he’s also established an oyster foundation to promote sustainability. Also included on the website, which is basically a series of photographs that conjure up images of the spring break we never had: a very relaxed-looking Todd.
