Family of Apple Smugglers Caught Red-Handed

Rotten to the core.

Rotten to the core.

A classic fall outing turned criminal in New Hampshire last week when a Quincy family stole bags of apples from a local orchard. Per WMUR, 58-year-old Hang Wong "bought a large U-Pick bag from Mack’s Apples, then stood by the family car with her husband, 57-year-old Tony Wong, while their two sons loaded the trunk with apples." A vigilant farm attendant called the police.

Police then discovered 27-year-old Wai Wong and 19-year-old Steven Wong going into the orchard, filling their bags, and dumping apples into their trunk while their parents looked on approvingly. Do they think these things just grow on trees? They've been charged with theft "by deception." [AP via Globe]
