The Real Downtown Crossing's Facebook page contains this lip-smacking news: Cheeseboy will open its first brick-and-mortar restaurant across from the old Borders books space (which was going to become a Morton's). The cheese stalls are currently located at South Station and at the Prudential Center. Owner Michael Inwald sure has come a long way since his teenage pilgrimage to New York City's Artisanal, "a brothel of dips and fondues."
The first Cheeseboy opened in 2009. Not long after, we suggested that he might do well with an actual fondue brothel called Cheeseman. Maybe our wish is coming true at last?
