The grim thoroughfare, currently home to the Boston Globe offices and not a whole lot else, could get much more exciting. Per the Globe itself, "a Boston developer has proposed building a $60 million apartment complex with 278 units between the JFK/UMass MBTA station and the Shaw’s Supermarket on Morrissey Boulevard — a potential step toward a more extensive development with restaurants, shops, and office space along the sparsely populated roadway."
After all, those UMASS Boston students need someplace to eat (not to mention Globe staffers ... the cafeteria there can only do so much!).
