As Mitt Romney's Convention Center campaign party gets underway and the Seaport becomes a hot mess, one thing is certain: There will be sliders. According to a pre-party report from the Globe, the campaign has ordered sliders and pretzels, though the bar will be strictly cash-only.
Also on the roster: a tastily named band called Sweet Tooth & the Sugarbabies is on the bill (known for their extensive roster of funk covers), but note: "If Romney loses, the soiree will probably take on a more somber tone ... Lighting will become more subdued, confetti canons will go unused." But hopefully the sliders won't go to waste. [Globe]
