As any successful artist might tell you, a few glasses of wine never hurt anyone. Now Universal Hub hears that an art studio in South Boston might combine its studio space with bar space. "At a hearing today, Urban Art Bar attorney Andrew Upton painted a picture of art and alcohol mixing to enhance the social atmosphere among patrons who find brushstrokes a good way to relax," they report. Brush-strokes and beer, that is.
UH reports that beer and wine would be sold to people taking classes; the studio also wants to offer liqueurs for people who rent the spot for soirees. Well, it's a sophisticated alternative to bowling, anyway. If only they offered open bars at those kids' paint-your-own pottery places. [UH]
