Boston magazine reports that the much-loved Casablanca, which shuttered on December 21, will be reborn courtesy Russell House Tavern's Michael Scelfo. "“It’s just an honor to be in that space, because it has such a legacy in Boston for food, and so many good chefs have been there over the years ... I’m excited to get in there and re-imagine it and do my own thing,” he told Chowder.
Scelfo, formerly the mastermind behind Temple Bar, has turned Russell House into a neighborhood powerhouse—an upscale tavern with excellent service to boot—so here's hoping he can replicate the formula at his new place down the road. [Chowder]
