Well, Yes, "GastroSports" Is Now a Thing

By

For people who fancy themselves a bit more sports-minded than typical gluttonous gastropubbers comes a new gastro-combo: Gastrosports! SKYBOKX 109 GastroSports, a lounge-restaurant-TV emporium, opens tomorrow in Natick. Though we'd like to imagine diners competitively jousting with poutine, the actual concept is a bit different.

Expect classed-up, "cross-continental" pub fare like poutine (naturally), pizzas, short ribs, steak frites, and Shepard's pie, illuminated by high-tech TVs and wrapped in state-of-the-art sound. And, if you're feeling frisky, reserve the, ahem, private "Penalty BOKX." Sadly, unlike at BOKX 109 American Prime in Newton, there's not a South Beach-style pool with requisite cabanas.
