At Last, An Upscale Chinese Restaurant Comes to Boston

We've long lamented the dearth of high-end ethnic eateries in our fair city, so this news from Menton alum Jason Doo comes as a happy surprise: This fall he'll open Kinsai, a swanky, ambitious Chinese project, Boston magazine reports.

"A nightly chef’s-table tasting menu—with set, 20-odd-course dinners—will be available, as will 1930s-Shanghai-style craft cocktails and snacks," they report. Eater Boston has a list of preview dishes courtesy Tiny Urban Kitchen, and we're most intrigued by the Char Siu Roasted Octopus with Garlic and Parsley Vinaigrette. And the walnut soup.

So, Kinsai and Blue Dragon ought to keep us amused for a little while. Still, not to pout, but why don't we have high-end Indian around here? [Boston, EB]
