Loews Regency owner Jonathan Tisch has donated the old tables, chairs, and other items from his dining room to the Mayor’s Fund to Advance New York, which will send them to a Coney Island senior center where they’ll be put to good use. The more than 3,600 hundred items were, up until last month, fixtures of the room that was the New York elite’s legendary “power breakfast,” where players like Larry King mingled with heads of state and talked turkey over plates of turkey sausage. The Loews Regency is undergoing renovations, so the elite have moved, at least temporarily, to Park Avenue Winter. [Crain’s, Earlier]
