Belmont's awesome Craft Beer Cellar is applying for a license to open in Needham, the Needham Times reports. The Cellar is run by Kate Baker and Suzanne Schalow, former general manager and beverage director of Cambridge Common, and it's a great, homey little place to search for peculiar and native brews.
A Craft employee tells us that nothing is official yet but that the team is "optimistic" about their Needham plans. According to the Times, a public hearing will happen on February 2. It'll be the first such store in the area. “People are ready to live in a relevant century," Baker told the paper. Cheers to that! [Needham Times via BRT]
