It seems Davis Square's long-awaited Burro Bar, replacing Spike's Junkyard Dogs, will debut tomorrow. (The Painted Burro is closed tonight to complete renovations.) There are many worthy taco-and-burrito joints in Davis Square, from Chipotle to Anna's to Boloco just around the bend. However: We're pretty sure the Burro Bar is the only one with a jukebox.
We're told to expect a menu of tortas, 20 draft beers and 100 beers available, 100 tequilas, and a "large selection of brown liquor (bourbon, whiskey, rye, scotch)." And again, there will be a jukebox. The bar is adjacent to the Painted Burro at 219 Elm St.
Update: The Burro Bar's rep notes that they'll be soft opening over the next few days: "Eventually guests can expect to see a menu including tortas, a selection of over 100 beers including 20 draft selections, 100 tequilas, and an emphasis on brown spirits." Anyway, pop on in and say hello!
