Peace Out, Peace O'Pie

Allston has one fewer vegan pizza spot: BRT notes via Facebook that Peace o' Pie on Cambridge Street is no longer in business, due to landlord woes and cold-weather-inflicted damage. They're hoping to revive the concept elsewhere. Their letter to friends is hopeful and appropriately peaceful.

Dear friends,

With heavy hearts, we must announce the closure of Peace o' Pie's location in Allston. As many of you know, our restaurant was damaged during the recent extreme cold weather and we have been working to recover from those events. There were a number of unforeseen consequences from the damage that occurred and, unfortunately, we were unable to agree to terms with our landlord on resolving those issues.

We have greatly missed serving you during this time. Over the next several months we will be evaluating opportunities for a new location and for new partnerships that will allow us to bring the Peace o' Pie experience back to Boston. We ask that you sign up for our mailing list and remain or become a fan of our Facebook page so that we can let you know any future plans that develop. We also invite you to contact us if you know of any business opportunities we should be aware of.

We can't thank you enough for all of your support and patronage over the last three years.

Yours in peace and pizza,

The Peace o' Pie Team

Maybe Peace o'Pie and the newly displaced Villa Mexico can team up for some kind of joint burrito-pizza venture.
