This is nice: Jen Salucci and Max Toste at Deep Ellum are running the Boston Marathon in support of RESPOND, a local nonprofit that's working to stop domestic violence. Swing by their deck on April 1 to support them at a grilling party starring oysters, grilled sausage sandwiches, and drinks from Smuttynose beer. Details ahead.

Choose from three sausage sandwiches (German style with sauerkraut, Asian-style Bahn Mi, Italian-style with peppers and onions), then gobble Island Creek Oysters and Smuttynose IPA, the Star Island Single, the Big A IPA, a vintage beer from the Deep Ellum Celllar, or a temptingly named "Star Island Radler" with beer, lemonade, and St. Germain. The party starts at 4 p.m. and proceeds (tickets here) go toward the race.
