Jamaica Plain local ice cream purveyor Batch (get it? small batch!) is opening an ice cream truck this summer destined for the streets of Boston. Batch specializes in from-scratch ice cream, using local and fair trade ingredients without stabilizers or artificial flavors or colors.
According to their Facebook page they will debut at the Taza Chocolate Cinco de Mayo block party on May 5th from 1 to 5pm. The new ice-cream slinging truck will be giving out free ice cream topped with Taza chocolates. They will also be serving at the Cambridge River Festival on June 1st. The trucks schedule will be posted very soon.
Until then, buy scoops of Batch at the newly opened Bees Knees in Fort Point among other retailers.
