Lucky Lowellians: China Star Dim Sum and Seafood opened this week, and early reviews are outstanding. A Chowhound poster who's been tracking the opening had this to say: "Here's my update on the dim sum: I got 7 items: beef meatballs, sticky rice in lotus leaf, Shumai, Hargau, chive dumplings, steamed pork buns and ribs in black bean sauce. Everything was fresh, delicious and on par if not better than anything I have had in Chinatown. There were probably a total of 40-50 items on the dim sum menu. I did order scallop dumplings but that was not available. Restaurant was very busy but food came out very fast. I recommend highly!!"
Best of all, they serve every day from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. And there are more 50 items on the dim sum menu? We're taking a trip on the Lowell Connector this weekend. [CH]
