It's Opening Day! Restaurants around town are celebrating and you can, too, even if you don't have tickets to the park. Here's where to drink and dine, possibly al fresco, ahead.
Barrio: Reps from Corona visit between 11 and 1:30 with swag bags and ticket giveaways for the Monday, April 22 game.
The Beehive: They'll host a home opener "jam" with the electric-jazz Bruce Ferrera Quartet at 8 p.m.
Cask 'n Flagon: As we mentioned earlier, they've revamped their menu with Asian-inspired plates, Texas barbecue, and new craft cocktails.
Dante: They're doing a "Balls & Brew" special: Get a pint of Sam Adams 26.2 Brew and an order of carne meatballs for $10 today through April 15, at the lounge from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m.
Island Creek Oyster Bar: They've modified their spring hours to accommodate afternoon Sox games. Check the hours here.
Jerry Remy: They've been opening and partying since 9 a.m.
Poe's Kitchen at the Rattlesnake: Roofdeck opens today.
South Street Diner: They're doing all-you-can-eat Fenway franks; a burger-beer-and-fries special for $10; and a Joel Hamraham & Pepper Omelette with egg whites, red peppers (Sox colors), and of course diced ham. It's discounted if Hamraham saves or wins the game.
Sweet Cheeks: They're debuting new cocktails to honor the season.
Yardhouse: They're expanding their hours to open at 10 a.m. today and this weekend.
P.S. Mayor Menino is excited for Fenway sushi.
