Puritan & Co.'s Will Gilson Will Screen The Princess Bride, Serve Rodents

Will Gilson: rodent-cooker?

We always knew he had good taste! Gilson will screen the movie on April 22 as part of the Revere Hotel's REEL Chefs: Inspired Gourmet Pairings of Food & Film series. He will also prepare a three-course meal to go along with the flick, and that meal will include an unusually sized rodent. Really.

On the menu: roasted buttercup squash soup with pumpkin seed oil, savory granola and “Screaming Eel” dumpling (what?); “Rodents of Unusual Size,” also known as wild rabbit sausage and crispy rillette with root vegetables and brown butter “iocane powder,” and for dessert, the simply named “Anybody Want a Peanut?" (a chocolate tart with peanut butter mousse, dulce de leche and peanut brittle).

Tickets are $50; get them here. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. How soon 'til we can get large rodents at Puritan?
