Never fear, the upscale Mexican boomicita isn't dead yet: Fort Point's Papagayo plans to open a second location in Charlestown for all of your tableside guacamole and frozen margarita needs! They should open "just in time for Cinco de Mayo," says a job ad on Craigslist.
Of course, if you don't want to go to Charlestown, plenty of other new options await: El Centro has expanded to Brookline, Beacon Street Tavern is becoming Mission Cantina, Taqueria Mexico is expanding from Waltham to Framingham, and Beantown Taqueria will soon open a second branch on Western Avenue.
The new Papagayo will be at 1 Chelsea St. in Charlestown, in the old Max & Dylan's space. (The Legendary Restaurant Group owns both restaurants.)
