Smallest Whole Foods Opens in Brookline

In the former Johnnie’s Foodmaster location in Brookline the world’s smallest Whole Foods opens to the public today. The Beacon Street store and 22nd location in Massachusetts will be “the smallest location in the United States” with a scaled down grocery department and emphasis on the quick-serve, coffee, and juice bars.

The “bread-breaking ceremony” began at 8AM this morning. The littlest Whole Foods that ever lived will also featured “an in-house artist who draws the chalkboard plaque displays throughout the aisles.” Despite our guilty pleasure love of Whole Foods salad bar, we are still mourning Johnnie's carpeted grocery chain demise.
