Barbara Lynch was inducted into James Beard's Who's Who of Food and Beverage in America last night at a star-studded awards ceremony in New York City. (She joins fellow inductees Eric Asimov, Dorothy Kalins, and Zarela Martinez of New York, Bill Yosses of Washington, DC, and Michael Mina of San Francisco.) Lynch says in a statement to Grub Street: "I didn't realize how big this was until last night on the red carpet. Wow! I have always wanted to make a positive difference in Boston and beyond, and I feel like this award recognizes that. I'm so honored." Congratulations, chef! [Earlier]
