The Cambridge Brewing Company is working on a special dry Irish stout, "Collier Stout," to honor MIT officer Sean Collier, who was killed by the marathon bombers in April. Collier was a big beer fan, and his friends tell the Globe that it's exactly what he would've wanted.

Colorado's Rocky Mountain Brewery and Cambridge Brewing Company will each put out a version of Collier Stout by mid-June, using a past recipe for expediency. The MIT Hobby Shop will provide “Collier Stout” beer taps featuring a night watchman’s stick and a police badge, the Globe says.

The beer costs $5.50, and $1 of each sale goes to the Jimmy Fund, which established a memorial fund in his honor. Cheers. [Globe]
