Scott Disick Was "Hard to Impress" at Empire Friday Night

Honorary Kardashian Scott Disick hung out at Empire on Friday night, we hear. (He was in town for the Kiss concert and to host an anniversary party at SHRINE.) He and a duo of Kardashian producers supped on crispy shrimp shu mai, shrimp and tofu fritters, blackened snapper maki rolls, and house fried rice.

Er, we thought the whole comedy and dinner theater concept sounded odd, and a rep from Regina writes to tell us this: "Regina Pizzeria in Allston recently applied for an entertainment license that includes music groups of three or less etc. The application has many items that can be checked and may have included comedy. Their intention is to be able to have a small combo or a guitar player etc. Any rumor of being a comedy club is completely false." So there you have it. Just the sweet strains of a guitar while eating your pizza. [Earlier]

Colorado's Rocky Mountain Brewery and Cambridge Brewing Company will each put out a version of Collier Stout by mid-June, using a past recipe for expediency. The MIT Hobby Shop will provide “Collier Stout” beer taps featuring a night watchman’s stick and a police badge, the Globe says.

Chef Barry Maiden

The Boston Business Journal and the Boston Globe reported a while ago that Hungry Mother was planning to expand to One Kendall. Now Eater has the news that Barry Maiden's new place will be called State Park. The team was originally going to do a deli, but apparently that fell through. But this sounds promising nonetheless: Eater even mentions a pinball machine.

State Park will be "more casual" than Hungry Mother and will share some of its Southern influences. They report that the place will have a bar, pinball, and one all-day menu from 11 a.m. until midnight. State Park is apparently a nod to Barry Maiden's hometown of Marian, Virginia, where there's a very lovely Hungry Mother State Park. It should open in September.
Of Course There’s an Underground KFC Delivery Service in Gaza

The Colonel fares well in a war zone.

A Palestinian delivery service has found a totally niche market: It whisks KFC through tunnels from Egypt to Gaza. Al Yamama has made four deliveries of KFC to Palestinians there, mainly combo meals. And, sure enough, fried chicken is still tasty after four hours in transit. We'd expect this from McDonald's burgers, which are incapable of decomposition, but the Colonel's chicken is pretty indestructible, too.

This is good news for poultry-deprived Palestinians, even though the price is equivalent to about $30. The hefty fee is due to the circuitous route and the intense security involved with each delivery — sometimes Hamas checks (and eats?) the wares. But that's okay: "It's delicious even as it's not hot," said one hungry customer, who also appreciated the cool apple pie.

Job Interview Turns Nefarious at Gyu-Kaku

A woman interviewing for a position at Brookline's new Gyu-Kaku came up with a memorable way to make a first impression: She walked off with an Apple laptop and an iPhone totaling more than $2,000. And, no, she didn't get the job.

Unfortunately, her crime spree was short-lived because she ingeniously left her real name and phone number on the job application. In a supreme act of detection, a police officer attempted to reach her by phone several times after the alleged theft, letting her know that she should really go to the police station. The woman replied that she didn't want to for fear of being arrested.

She was later arrested while smoking outside at an "event" ... hopefully not a job fair.
